Glasgow rental agency reports sharp rise in demand

One of Glasgow's leading rental agencies has reported a sharp increase in demand for privately rented apartments over the past 3 months.

DJ Alexander, based in Bath Street, let 113 flats during the period - 34% more than the 84 leased in the first 3 months of the year.

The number of one-bedroom flats lets doubled, but two-bedroom flats were most in demand and secured an average monthly rental of �776.
